MEET THE FOUNDER

Thomas Hansen, MA, BCBA, LBA

As Executive Director of Clinical Services at Pivotal ABA, I am committed to helping children and families achieve meaningful, lasting progress through thoughtful, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. With more than 25 years of experience in special education and behavioral health, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities while helping families navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with growth and development.
My approach is grounded in the belief that exceptional outcomes are achieved through strong clinical judgment, meaningful relationships, and a deep understanding of the individual behind the diagnosis. Every child presents with unique strengths, challenges, and potential, and effective treatment begins with recognizing and respecting those differences.
I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, both earned with honors. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). Throughout my career, I have remained focused on delivering ethical, evidence-based services that create measurable improvements in the lives of the individuals and families I serve.
At Pivotal ABA, we believe in clinical quality over scale. We have intentionally built our organization around individualized care, strong clinical oversight, and meaningful partnerships with families. Our focus has never been on serving the most clients—it has been on serving each client exceptionally well. This philosophy allows us to remain closely involved in treatment, maintain the highest standards of care, and ensure that every program is tailored to the unique needs of the child and family.
Working collaboratively with parents, educators, and other professionals, we strive to develop treatment plans that are practical, effective, and aligned with the goals that matter most in everyday life. Whether the focus is communication, social development, adaptive skills, or behavior reduction, our objective is to create meaningful progress that extends beyond therapy sessions and into the home, school, and community.

The most meaningful measure of success is not what happens during a therapy session, but what carries over into a child's daily life, relationships, independence, and future opportunities. At Pivotal ABA, we are committed to helping children build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to thrive.
