Specialized Paraprofessional: Behavior Technician Training

Pivotal ABA has the expertise and experience to bring your staff up to the high rigors of staff training that ABA services require.

Paraprofessionals trained by Pivotal ABA will be able to provide intense monitoring of student behavior as indicated on the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).

Behavior Technicians trained by Pivotal ABA meet and exceed the rigorous standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and are qualified to sit for the Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis.

Incorporating discrete trial instruction to identified students on a one-to-one basis while maintaining the appropriate documentation on outcomes and graphing as directed by the classroom teacher and BCBA.

Student Transportation Special Needs Training

Giving vital information to assist School Bus Drivers and Aides Interacting with Students with Special Needs in transporting students safely. Specifically, some behaviors that are related to specific disabilities; behavior management strategies that can be used with different student populations, and the use and operation of adaptive equipment.

Pivotal ABA, In accordance with NJSA 18A:39-19.2 and the New Jersey Department of Education has developed a training program for school bus drivers and school bus aides on appropriate procedures for interacting with students with special needs.
