Apply to Pivotal ABAYour Work Matters
Registered Behavior Technicians are an essential part of the clinical team at Pivotal ABA. RBTs work directly with individuals and families, implementing treatment plans developed by a BCBA and helping clients build skills that can improve everyday life.
We are looking for dependable, compassionate, and professional behavior technicians who want to learn, accept feedback, develop their clinical skills, and make a meaningful difference for the people they support.
Why Work at Pivotal ABA?
BCBA Support
You are part of a clinical team. RBTs receive ongoing supervision, feedback, and guidance from Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
Meaningful Work
Help individuals develop communication, social, behavioral, adaptive, and independence skills that can make a real difference in daily life.
Clinician-Led
Pivotal ABA is BCBA-owned and operated, with clinical quality and individualized treatment at the center of our work.
Opportunity to Grow
Develop your skills while working alongside experienced clinicians in a growing New Jersey ABA practice.
What Does an RBT Do at Pivotal ABA?
RBTs provide direct one-to-one ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized treatment programs, collect data, teach new skills, respond to behavior according to the treatment plan, and communicate with your supervising BCBA about client progress.
Because Pivotal ABA provides home-based services, much of this work occurs during real routines and activities. That gives RBTs the opportunity to help individuals use new skills where those skills are actually needed.
Help Build Skills That Matter
Every individual is different, so every treatment program is different. Depending on the person's needs, an RBT may help teach functional communication, social interaction, play and leisure skills, self-care, daily living skills, transitions, safety, flexibility, and greater independence.
You may also implement behavior-reduction procedures designed by the supervising BCBA and help teach appropriate replacement skills that allow the individual to communicate and participate more successfully.
What You'll Do
✓ Provide individualized, one-to-one ABA services
✓ Implement treatment programs developed by a supervising BCBA
✓ Collect accurate data during treatment sessions
✓ Teach communication, social, adaptive, behavioral, and independence skills

You Won't Be Expected to Figure It Out Alone
RBTs work under BCBA supervision for a reason. Your supervising BCBA will observe treatment, review data, provide feedback, model procedures when necessary, answer clinical questions, and make changes to programming as the individual progresses. We expect RBTs to ask questions and participate actively in supervision.
Who We're Looking For
The strongest behavior technicians are not simply people who can follow a program. They build rapport, pay attention to what is happening during a session, take feedback professionally, communicate with their supervisor, and remain consistent even when treatment becomes challenging.
We value staff who are reliable, patient, professional, willing to learn, and genuinely interested in helping the individuals they work with make meaningful progress.
RBT Position Requirements

✓ Ability to work professionally with individuals and families in their homes

Building a Career in Behavior Analysis?
For technicians pursuing further education in behavior analysis, working directly with experienced BCBAs provides valuable exposure to assessment, treatment implementation, data-based decision making, supervision, caregiver collaboration, and ethical clinical practice.
Whether you plan to remain an RBT or eventually pursue BCBA certification, we want your time at Pivotal ABA to help you become stronger at what you do.
